Photo of the Day: A Kiss Grows In Brooklyn

I said you’d see more of these guys. The first couple who actually walked the length of the Brooklyn Bridge with me for a shoot, they deserved a bit of rest at the end.

Daniel Bartel - Brenizer method or just a wide open aperture? What lens and exposure?

Ryan Brenizer - Just wide-open, my sadly retired Sigma 50mm f/1.4.

Daniel Bartel - Great photo. Sorry to hear about your gear falling in the drink. I recently picked up a used Sigma 30mm f/1.4 from a buddy and have shot with the Nikon 50mm f/1.4 AF-D for some time. I’m very impressed by the 30 1.4. I understand why you’ll miss your 50.

Larry C - Beautiful! Love the bokehs. :)

Dennis Pike - Ryan, you know I love your work, but you and I need to have a talk about the titles for your images

January 22, 2010 - 4:51 pm

Ryan Brenizer - People love my titles. That tree in the background is the actual tree that grows in Brooklyn. So deal. ;-)

Ryan Smith - Beautiful, would love to try some city work instead of just the beach. Why did you retire the 50mm 1.4? The image is a bit grainy, which is a nice look. Is that just the iso you are using, or is it a post processing effect.
